Brazil's 3rd International Disability Film Festival arrives at its third edition having received 243 film entries from 45 countries from all the continents. To our grateful surprise, 68 Brazilian films were among the entries: proof that a discussion on the theme is ever more present and more consistent in our society.

The 34 films selected make up an impressive mosaic in which different examples of independent life and successful social insertion are emphasized.  They are demonstrations of how questions relative to people with disabilities are treated in diverse societies: with their different cultures, customs and legislations. They are, above all, demonstrations of how it's always possible and necessary to break barriers, prejudices and paradigms.

The novelty of this edition will be the presence, at the festival, of the directors and characters of some of the films exhibited. We also highlight the homage and presence of Polish director Maciej Adamek, and the special sessions with two of his beautiful films that marked our previous editions: I will not leave you until I die (I nie opuszcze cie az do smierci) and A Life to Live (Zycie Przed Toba).
