Um grupo de ativistas com deficiência intelectual reagem ao uso da palavra ” Celebretard”, um trocadilho que mistura “celebridade” com “retardado”, que um grupo de teatro de Mineápolis inadvertidamente inventou para batizar uma cerimônia supostamente positiva. O grupo dá voz a um grande número de cidadãos e discute questões de adequação de linguagem e direitos humanos.
A group of activists with developmental disabilities responded to a Minneapolis theatre group’s use of the word Celebretard, lifting the voices of a broad range of citizens and discussing issues of respectful language and human rights.
